A neighbourhood guide to Bronte: beaches to visit, walks to do, and our favourite spots
to eat and drink.

Classic longstanding spot down by Bronte beach, go early for the mixed berry muffin

Cafe 143

New coffee spot on Macpherson Street; get a takeaway after grabbing a loaf of Iggy's sourdough from down the road

Table Manners

New tasteful local spot for dinner and drinks; very good, book ahead, and the duck is a must order main if you're hungry

Eat

Iggy's

Iggy's bakery is a Bronte institution; grab a loaf and a pastry to last you your stay

Vacanza

Head up the hill for family-style Italian on Bronte Road; or if you're wanting to leave the area, visit their sister restaurant Trattoria Elva at South Bondi shops

Bellagio Cafe

Head up the hill to Waverley for a relaxing breakfast, brunch or lunch with service that makes you feel like your home. If you've time, take a book and grab one of the window seats.

Franks Deli

New York style deli with a touch of European flavour, great local spot to grab a sandwich and coffee on the go.

See and do

Bondi to Coogee coastal walk

One of Sydney's best walks to five beautiful beaches along the coastline; if you go at the right time you might catch the famous Scultpures by the Sea

Centennial Park

Gorgeous urban park with inner-city horse riding, ponds, and cafes in the centre. You can extend this walk by venturing outside the park gates and doing a loop around  Queens Park.

Mackenzie's Bay

A quiet coastal nook between Bondi and Tamarama where every couple of years at the beginning of winter, almost overnight, a small cove suddenly turns into a beach.
